Chelsea FC will finally debut in the new Premier League new season, 2018/2019, where the Blues Chelsea FC will be facing Huddersfield Town in Chelsea’s first away match which isn’t expected to be easy due to the missing players.
The latest reports and news suggest that Chelsea will be missing several key players such as the Belgian international, Eden Hazard, and the French international midfielder, N’Golo Kante, in addition to other players.
Chelsea is expected to start with a similar starting Xl that played in the Community Shield match against the Premier League champions, Manchester City, which Chelsea lost 2-0 at Wembley.
Chelsea will be suffering from two injuries which are Marco Van Ginkel and Izzy Brown where both players are suffering from a long-term knee injury.
On the other hand, six players are expected to be missing where the Belgian international Eden Hazard, French international N’Golo Kante, English international Gary Cahill, French international Olivier Giroud, Belgian international Michy Batshuayi and the Croatian international Mateo Kovacic.
Michy Batshuayi was reported heading to the Spanish La Liga club, CF Valencia, which may be the reason he won’t play, while Mateo Kovacic has just arrived at the Stamford Bridge a couple of days ago.
On the other hand, we are expected to see two players debuting today where the new Spanish international goalkeeper, Kepa Arrizabalaga, is expected to start, and the Italian international midfielder, Jorginho, is expected to start under his former manager at Napoli as well.
